Crew

Crew of 5: Captain, chef, chief engineer, stewardesses, deckhand

Captain

Rosario Agosti started his maritime career in 1978 and he achieved excellent skills over the years by working in the nautical industry at 360 degrees. In the early days he worked on sailing yachts attending several regattas (such as the Whitbread Round the World Race) and Atlantic crossings too and has since owned a sailing school where he was the instructor.

In the mid 80s he was employed on the charter sailing yacht “Red Scorpion” first and the displacement motoryacht “Neapolis” later, cruising around the Mediterranean and the Southern Italy in particular.

In the 90s he sailed the Caribbean for years both on private and charter sailing yachts. Back in the Mediterranean in the early 2000s, he was employed as Captain on some well known charter yachts such as the charter Gulet “Monna Lisa”, “Odyssey”, “Misty” and the Benetti 30 “Beyond the Clouds” (from 2010 to 2012); in 2013 the yacht was sold and he moved on Sea Wish, 36 meters displacement motor yacht cruising the Med until 2017. From 2018 he’s Captain on Toby.

His long experience in the yachting industry allowed him to improve his technical and mechanical knowledge so that Rosario now brings a high level of skill and ability to the engineering department and able to trouble shoot most issues. He has an excellent knowledge of the Mediterranean, and can be relied upon to find the best anchorages, ports and cruising grounds to suit all requests. Safety, fun and relaxation are some of the words that best sum up Rosario, all the time providing a first class service. His priority is to provide guests with a pleasurable and memorable trip, each wish catered for and every detail covered.

Rosario speaks fluent English and fluent Spanish.

Stewardess

Irene Ambrosone was born in Pisa, Italy. Over the years she has ventured into different working experiences; starting in 2009 as waitress during the winter, whilst her passion for travelling drove her to embark onboard yachts as stewardess during the summer. She sailed for the first time in Croatia on board M/Y Time Out and being the only stewardess she was taking care of all duties by herself. Later, she moved on M/Y Absolute cooperating with other 2 crew members. Having improved her competence, she was employed on M/Y Saint Raphael sailing the Balearic Islands, responsible of the storage. Afterwards she consolidated her career on board megayachts  such as M/Y Celestial, M/Y Nanook, M/Y Libra Omega still sailing around the Mediterranean Sea and learning how to work in team. She likes creating a good relationship with the other crew members, always trying to be friendly and smiling. As self-motivated and high stress tolerant, she never stopped her travel soul, neither in winter, keeping working around the world. Her latest experience was in Dubai as housekeeper of the Royal Family. Positive, energetic, outgoing and willing to work; Multitasking and problems solving skills make her professional and trustworthy. Irene is Italian mother tongue,  fluent in English and pretty good in French.

Deckhand

Alex Rubino born and raised in Naples, Italy. It’s hard growing in Naples and not developing a deep interest into sea; in fact, since child, his dream was spending as much time as possible among the crystalline waters of the Mediterranean Sea. He studied at the Nautical college  “Duca  degli Abruzzi” in Naples , qualifying as deck cadet. He started his dream in 2012 working in ro/ro-pax ships when finally in 2017 landed in the yachting industry, still working as deckhand but on the beautiful sailing yacht  “Alma Sol”. Two years later he experienced motoryacht lifestyle on board “Regina d’Italia” until Captain Rosario pleased Alex to follow him on M/Y Toby. He is always happy and keeps a ready smile on his face. Alex is a self-starter, enjoys the little things and has a positive outlook that is infectious onboard. He loves giving guests the comfort they would have at home, while at the same time providing a sense of adventure. Excellent at water sports and enjoys sharing his strengths and talents with all charter guests!
