The long-anticipated largest ever built Heesen superyacht known as the 70m project Kometa has been launched. Christened GALACTICA SUPER NOVA this all new mega yacht boasts fuel-efficiency thanks to Heesen’s FDHF Fast Displacement Hull Form penned by Van Oossanen ensuring a top speed of beyond 30 knots. Motor yacht GALACTICA SUPER NOVA comes with an impressive infinity swimming pool compromising jet stream and waterfall effect, beach club, outdoor cinema transformable into a helipad on demand and the acclaimed exterior lines designed by Espen Øino incarnating a low, sleek, fast look known from Heesen’s sporty luxury yachts.

Below deck the new 70m flagship scores with a bright Sander Sinot interior and 6 spacious well-appointed staterooms for up to 12 guests. Having worked closed with the proud new owner, being a repeat Heesen client, the focus was to create a timelessly luxurious yet understated environment ideal for relaxation as well as a refined setting for entertainment and fun. The colors of the interior are reflecting a warm neutral creamy color palette and materials used are finest leathers including very soft calfskin in combination with a variety of stones like calacatta luccioso and various onyx. However one of the most recognizable features of the interior is the central staircase of GALACTICA SUPER NOVA motor yacht. Here a striking helix can be found with a crystal elevator and an imposing play of chrome, steel, nickel and leather and woods creating an awe-inspiring central area of the yacht connecting all decks.

Performancewise the 30 knots of top speed will be ensured thanks to the Fast Displacement Hull Form and two MTU 20V 4000 M93L engines in combination with a third engine to power a booster jet. Still 70m Heesen yacht GALACTICA SUPER NOVA comes with a world-cruising capability and a range of 4.000 nautical miles at 12 knots of cruising speed.
